CNBLUE dropped their most awaited first full-length album entitled CODE NAME BLUE on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. And immediately after its release, tops the Oricon Daily Chart with an estimated sales of 21,982 copies.
CNBLUE even managed to beat the records of popular Japanese rock bands Tokyo Jihen, The Gazette & Dragon Ash, who ranked second, third and fifth on the chart respectively, with a wide margin.
Moreover, they are the only foreign band among the artists in the Top Ten which includes the largest idol group AKB 48. The fact that CNBLUE is within the same bracket of popular Japanese groups is gaining them a lot of attention and praise.
CNBLUE will be staying in Japan to promote their album “CODE NAME BLUE” and embark for their arena tour this October.
I am so proud of CNBLUE, its beyond words how much I admire and respect them for all their hard work since debut to get to where they are now and they wont stop anytime soon because they are really on FIRE! To have sold almost 22K copies in the first days of sales count! I wonder if that’s only for Japan sales or if that count is also for International sales as well. I think this album will surpass their previous releases in sales. AWESOME JOB CNBLUE, I love this album too^^
